CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Tim Beckman would love to have the kind of offense he'll see Louisiana Tech run against Illinois on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (2-0) average 56 points a game.

Injuries are limiting Illinois (2-1) right now. Quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase (SHEEL'-hows) hasn't played since the opener because of a sprained ankle. It looks like he may finally be back for the Louisiana Tech game.

Bulldogs coach Sonny Dykes says some people actually criticize his offense for not staying on the field long enough and exposing his defense. It gives up 43 points a game.

Illini receiver Ryan Lankford says Illinois will have to be ready to score in bunches.
