The focus on his staff's handling of the Bridgegate' affair and the media's obsession with his sharp-elbow tactics hasn't dulled New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's interest in the White House, which he now says he's “readier” for, the Washington Examiner reports.
“I think I'm a fairly good politician,” Christie told Yahoo's Matt Bai in an interview.
Asked about running for the White House, which he refused to do in 2012 because he wasn’t ready, Christie said, “I’m readier, if that’s a word.” Christie added, “I think it is most likely that the next Republican nominee for president will be a governor.”
