Oklahoma City Councilman Pete White visited Southeast High School recently and left feeling like not much has changed since he went to school there half a century ago.

The south Oklahoma City students are still children of construction workers, roofers and welders. They live in the same small, middle-class homes where White and his friends lived as children.
