It's time once again to be thinking about gifts for the do-it-yourselfer on your holiday shopping list! Here are some of my suggestions for some interesting, quality tools worth considering this year, listed in order of their manufacturer's suggested retail price.

• Bosch Daredevil Saw Blade (Model DCB724 $12.50) and Bosch Multi-Tool Blades (Model OSC114 $16-$19):

These accessories make great stocking stuffers! The Daredevil 7 ¼-inch carbide-tipped, thin-kerf saw blade is ideal for smooth ripping and crosscuts in lumber, plywood and composites. Features 24 teeth and a coated blade. The multitool blades fit all popular multitools, and come in configurations for different types of wood and metal. They have precision tips and are formulated for greater cutting life.

• Black & Decker 8V MAX Impact Screwdriver (Model BDCS80I, $39.99):

The new 8V MAX offers speed and torque not usually found in compact screwdrivers. You get 2,200 RPM, which is up to 10 times faster than other compacts, along with an impressive 125 inch-pounds of torque for screw-driving power. The compact size gets into tight spaces, and fits easily in your toolbox or pouch. Variable speed (0-2,200 RPM), with a built-in LED light as well. Includes a built-in lithium battery, charger and bit.

• Porter-Cable 20V MAX Jigsaw (Model PCC650B, $59.97):

Here's a powerful cordless jigsaw that's packed with features. It has a variable speed trigger (0 to 2,500 strokes per minute), three-position orbital selector switch to match the material being cut, and a pivoting bottom shoe (0 to 45 degrees). Tool-free blade changes, a built-in dust blower to keep your cutting line clear, and a comfortable, contoured handle with nonslip grips. Includes one blade. Accepts Porter-Cable 20-volt batteries (sold separately).

• Craftsman Special Edition Harley-Davidson Portable Chest (Model 113631, $74.99):

Here's something different: a great tool chest and gift for the do-it-yourselfer who's also a motorcycle enthusiast. All steel construction in cool black and orange colors. Roomy open-top bin plus three full-extension drawers with drawer liners to organize and protect tools. Comfort-grip handle; two heavy-duty drawbolt latches secure items while in motion.

• Black & Decker 12-Amp Blower, Vacuum & Mulcher (Model BV6000, $79.99):

Simplify yard cleanup all year long with this high-performance, three-in-one. The two-speed 12-amp motor puts out an impressive 250-mph blast of air, with half the noise of previous models. Or convert the blower to a vacuum-mulcher — no tools required — and vacuum up leaves and mulch them down to 1/16 of their original volume. Includes a reusable leaf collection bag, two disposable leaf bags and shoulder strap.

• Bostitch 7 ¼-inch Circular Saw Kit (Model BTE300K, $89.99):

Bostitch makes great professional tools, but do-it-yourselfers should love their new line of pro-grade, affordably priced tools as well. This saw is 15 amps with a nice long 10-foot cord. It's 5,600 RPM for fast cutting, with a magnesium shoe to keep it light. Tool-free bevel adjustments to 55 degrees, and cuts a full 2-3/8 inches deep. Comfortable and well-balanced, includes a carbide blade, ripping guide, wrench and fitted case.
