IN BRIEF: Angel Tree program returns

Published: November 23, 2008

Angel Tree program returns

Starting tomorrow, Penn Square Mall and the Salvation Army will encourage shoppers to purchase Christmas gifts for needy children. Penn Square will house a Salvation Army Angel Tree in the southeast mall corridor near the Cantina Laredo entrance. The tree is decorated with the written holiday wishes of underprivileged children. Shoppers can select tags and donate gifts for children 13 and under. Angel Tree wishes range from toys and games to electronics and clothing with a variety of price ranges. Shoppers do not need to wrap the gifts, but all donations must be dropped off at the Angel Tree by Dec. 14.
