Blood drive this week

NORMAN — The Oklahoma Blood Institute has scheduled blood drives this week at Warren Theatre in Moore and Sooner Mall in Norman.

Healthy people age 17 and older may donate blood from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday outside the Warren Theatre, 1001 Telephone Road, or from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Sooner Mall, 3301 W Main.

Donors at the theater will receive free popcorn and drinks and will be entered in a drawing for free movie tickets.

Donors at both locations will get health screenings, a free crimson University of Oklahoma or orange Oklahoma State University blood donor T-shirt, and "Members for Life” points redeemable at OBI’s online store.

Oklahoma Blood Institute provides all blood needed by patients at all metro Oklahoma City-area hospitals and most others around the state.

Blood donations take about an hour and can be made every 56 days. For more information, go to www.obi.org.
