Hoop Shoot winners announced
DEL CITY — Results were released this week from the Hoop Shoot state competition organized by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The event was at Kerr Junior High School in Del City. Students age 8 to 13 from around the state competed in the basketball-shooting competition. The winners received a trophy, sports jacket and a basketball. Participants who finished second and third received a trophy and fourth-place finishers received a plaque.

The winners are:


• Boys age 8 and 9

2nd: Andrew Troy Reed of Shawnee

3rd: Mason Harrell of Midwest City

4th: Gage Kuehn of Enid


• Girls age 8 and 9

1st: Jessica Venard of Perry

2nd: Taylor Acree of Sapulpa

3rd: Kea Mays of Chickasha

4th: Jocee Sparks of Seminole


• Boys age 10 and 11

1st:Clint Kelley of Tahlequah

2nd: Jake Patterson of Ardmore

3rd: Chase Dilbeck of Sulphur

4th: Jacob Albritton of Perry


• Girls age 10 and 11

1st: Cheyenne King of Midwest City

2nd: Jessie Harrell of Woodward

3rd: Sydney Youngblood of Durant

4th: Taylor O’Donnell of Tahlequah


• Boys age 12 and 13

1st: Brad Hetherington of Sulphur

2nd: Jacob Winters of Midwest City

3rd: John Schaefer of Kingfisher

4th: Colin Belveal of Sapulpa

1st: Addy Clift of McAlester
