Delta will reduce seats

Nine days after announcing new overseas routes for 2009, Delta Air Lines Inc., the world’s biggest carrier, said in a regulatory filing Friday it plans to reduce future domestic and international capacity because demand for seats has slowed amid the global financial crisis. The Atlanta-based airline did not provide specifics, but did say it would give more details about its outlook in early December.

Verizon fires cell snoops

Verizon Wireless on Friday fired an unspecified number of employees it said had accessed President-elect Barack Obama’s old cell phone records without permission. The firings ended an internal investigation. Verizon Wireless had disclosed the privacy breach and apologized to Obama.

If flying was enjoyable like it used to be I'd be flying rather than driving. Right now if the trip is under 800 miles or eight hours, I'll drive. More leg room, better snacks, no baggage fee, and I don't have to worry about delays.
