GUTHRIE MAN, MARE WIN TITLE
Wayne Halvorson, of Guthrie won a world title with his horse CRL Sheesa Cool Coosa. The two won Saturday in the aged mare division at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show in Oklahoma City. Halvorson owns the 4-year-old sorrel mare. Halvorson and his horse won a prize package that includes a sterling silver buckle with 14-karat gold overlay, a neck wreath, a trophy, a jacket, horse feed, boots and a cash prize. More than 3,400 entries competed at this year’s event.
