Police boost enforcement
Police in Altus said they’re stepping up traffic enforcement downtown after a man in a wheelchair was hit and dragged by a bus. A bus filled with children hit the 42-year-old man last week as he tried

to cross an inter-section. Police

reports said the man suffered only minor abrasions and refused medical treatment. The driver of the bus was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
