In brief: Oklahoma legislation seeks savings

The House on Tuesday passed Senate Bill 980, which would create a chief information officer to direct technology buys for state agencies. Supporters said consolidation of technology contracts would lead to millions in savings. SB 980 passed the House 62-35 and returns to the Senate.
