Safe level set for formula

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration said Friday it has set a safe level of 1 part per million of melamine in baby formula as long as a related chemical isn’t present. The FDA urged parents to keep using U.S.-made formula in the wake of melamine being added to formula from China.
