OKLAHOMA CITY

2-year-old found in pool dies at an Oklahoma City hospital
An Oklahoma City toddler found in a swimming pool Saturday died Monday afternoon at OU Medical Center. Javen Teague, 2, wasn’t breathing when he was discovered in a pool at his foster parents’ home near Hefner Road and Air Depot Boulevard, according to police. "It looks like it’s just a tragic accident,” Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. The state Department of Human Services would not confirm if other foster children were present and would not disclose details of the case. Officers on the scene Saturday said the child had been wearing a life vest but had apparently wandered back into the pool without a vest after a party.
