Cause of crash investigated
SAN DIEGO —Investigators met Monday to look into the cause of a crash involving a Coast Guard plane and a Marine helicopter that killed nine people, as the search for bodies and wreckage continued off the Southern California coast.

Iranian officials sent mixed signals on the plan that would have Tehran export 70 percent of its enriched uranium — enough to build a bomb — and having it returned as fuel for its research reactor, with the foreign minister saying Monday that option still exists and a senior diplomat suggesting the opposite.
Soldier hits pedestrians
BERLIN — At least six people were injured on a German army base Monday after a soldier drove his car into a crowd of people. The reason behind the soldier’s actions was unclear, authorities said. German army officials did not immediately comment on the incident.
