Museum is free Nov. 14
Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum will offer free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 to recognize Oklahoma’s 102nd birthday. The museum will offer dress-up stations for children, refreshments from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., arts and crafts stations and a screening of the movie "Oklahoma!” The museum is at 1400 Classen Drive. Students raise $138,000
Students in
Oklahoma raised more than $138,000 for the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society through the
Olive Garden Pasta for Pennies fundraising drive, the society announced recently. Nearly 75,000 elementary, middle and high school students in Oklahoma collected change to support the drive. The state’s top fundraising schools were
Brink Junior High School and Wayland Bonds Elementary School in
Oklahoma City and Clyde Boyd Middle School in Sand Springs.
Dream Home ceremony set
A groundbreaking ceremony is at 11 a.m. Thursday for the fourth annual

Trinity plans fundraiser
Trinity School will host its annual A Novel Feast fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The fundraiser, which features discussions with notable authors and dinner and wine from several Oklahoma City restaurants, will be at the

Screening at arts center
City Arts Center, 3000 General Pershing Blvd., will host a reception and film screening Friday. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. The film, "My Architect: A Son’s Journey,” by
Nathaniel Kahn, will begin at 7:15 p.m. The film will be followed by a panel discussion. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 951-0000 or e-mailing info@cityartscenter.org.
