Bond yields drop again
Yields on long-term government debt sank to record lows Friday, the last trading day of the month, as investors continued to bet on an extremely weak economy. The 30-year yield dropped to about 3.43 percent, the lowest level since the government started issuing the bond. The 10-year yield also fell further below 3 percent to the lowest level since it’s been issued.

Shareholders face deadline
This week, Enron shareholders started receiving notices from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that they may be eligible to receive part of the $450 million in Enron-related civil fines collected by the agency.
