Archer Daniels Midland Co. said Tuesday its fiscal second-quarter profit slipped 2 percent because of lower prices for agricultural products. While sales volumes rose, that was offset by global food prices that are down from historic highs of 2008. The recession has depressed the price of key products like corn and soybeans. ADM, based in Decatur , Ill., said it will benefit from a stronger ethanol market.
