Incoming freshman WR Ra'Shaad Samples runs a 4.32 in 40-yard dash

Ah, it’s June in college football country. A time when we can see the season coming, but it’s still a fairly slow time for news.

Or a time when an incoming freshman’s 40-yard dash time in a summer workout testing session becomes the Twitter buzz.

Wide receiver Ra’Shaad Samples, one of the four-star players in the Cowboys’ 2013 class, ran a 4.32 Monday, according to, well, himself.

But a pretty prominent teammate also confirmed his super-fast time:

Even with plenty of talent and experience returning at receiver in 2013, Samples and fellow four-star player Marcell Ateman are likely to get playing time as true freshmen. This is why.
