Indicted former Oklahoma judge gives up practicing law

Indicted former Oklahoma judge Craig S. Key is accused of embezzling from clients and stealing cattle.

“We will fight this in court,” his attorney said last week.

Key signed an affidavit Wednesday asking the Oklahoma Supreme Court to allow him to “relinquish my right to practice law.” He has been an attorney in Oklahoma almost 21 years.

His affidavit shows the Oklahoma Bar Association was investigating seven complaints from clients against him.

Two clients complained he missed a deadline to file a personal injury case for them, lied about settling it and sent them checks in an effort to hide his neglect.

Another client complained he neglected her legal matter after she paid him $2,500. has disabled the comments for this article.
