Ingrid's Kitchen — fast service but not fast food

Also popular are Ingrid's breakfast offerings. In addition to omelets and French toast, diners can indulge in a German Breakfast, with crusty French bread, ham, salami and buttercheese with roasted potatoes, or the McIngrid's, which is an upscale version of the Egg McMuffin.

The restaurant is probably most famous for its Saturday afternoon dances. They push back the tables and a live band plays for anyone who wants to get up and participate.

And now, after 31 years in business, the restaurant is open for dinners, Miner said.

"It's a whole different atmosphere," she said. "It's a separate menu with wait staff at the tables and a rapidly expanding menu."

Dinner, lunch or during their famous breakfasts, Ingrid's is still very laid back; a great place for a casual business meeting, a family meal, or a date.
