Injury changes Putnam City star Xavier Henry's focus from Thunder to tickets
Former Putnam City High School star Xavier Henry's sore right knee has sidelined him for the NBA Playoffs. With the Grizzlies back in his hometown, Henry has spent more time taking care of ticket requests than taking on the Thunder.
Q&A MEMPHIS FORWARD XAVIER HENRY
Former Putnam City High School star Xavier Henry has had a rewarding rookie season as a member of the upstart Memphis Grizzlies, yet a frustrating debut personally. The NBA's second-youngest player this season (he turned 20 on March 15), Henry made 16 starts in 38 games, but hasn't played since Feb. 22 because of a sore right knee that has been slow to heal. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Henry shared a brief Q&A between Games 1 and 2 of the Grizzlies' second-round playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
