Allen Patrick, RB: The senior running back sprained his right ankle last Wednesday. He was on crutches and wearing a protective boot Saturday, and head coach Bob Stoops said Patrick should be back in action in "another a week or so.”

"Talking to him, he doesn't think it's as bad as last year,” Stoops said. Patrick missed two games when he sprained the same ankle last November.

Reggie Smith, CB: The media's preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year has a pulled hip flexor. He was fielding punts and jogging on the field during pre-scrimmage warm-ups.

"He could go out and go today, but we're gonna make sure that it's healed,” Stoops said. "I don't want it to bother him through the year.”

Branndon Braxton, OL: The expected starter at right tackle is battling a minor injury to his lower leg, but will return to practice Monday.

Darien Williams, FS: A key piece of the OU secondary, Williams hasn't practiced yet after having surgery for a stress fracture in his foot. Stoops says he will be back on the field Monday.

Others: Fred Strong, Brody Eldridge, Kody Cooke, Jonte Bumpus, Eric Mensik.
