TEMPE, Ariz. — On a New Year's Eve when flying things filled the desert, Zac Robinson's passes produced the most electric moments.

Oklahoma State University's quarterback played magnificent football, leading the Cowboys to a 49-33 rout of Indiana on Monday night in the Insight Bowl.

Robinson threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns as OSU finished its season with a 7-6 record.

The approximately 7,000 Cowboy fans in attendance were thrilled. Meanwhile, Indiana's estimated 10,000 fans were disappointed in the Hoosiers' first bowl game since 1993.

"It was a lot of fun the whole week,” Robinson said. "We had a blast.”

In pregame ceremonies, parachuters dropped in on Sun Devil Stadium sporting Cowboy and Hoosier flags.

M*A*S*H-style helicopters staged a flyover, with the pilots stretching out to wave to the crowd.

During the rockets-red-glare portion of the national anthem, fireworks were shot off from Tempe Butte, which sits just behind the east upper deck of Sun Devil Stadium. And to keep the air show theme going, jets constantly flew just over the stadium, arriving and leaving nearby Sky Harbor Airport.

But Robinson's passes lived up to such aerial standards.

He led OSU to touchdown drives on its first five possessions, the first time all season the Cowboys scored TDs on five straight chances.

OSU led 35-10 at halftime, and the game effectively was over.
