PRAGUE — Oklahoma highway crews have reopened eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Prague after an accident on the ice roadway.

PRAGUE — Oklahoma highway crews have reopened eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Prague after an accident on the ice roadway.

A tractor-trailer jackknifed on the highway Christmas morning, temporarily closing the road between Oklahoma 9A and U.S. Route 377.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for about 40 minutes.

A winter storm warning has been posted for much of Oklahoma. Highway officials are urging motorists to stay where they are and to not take a chance on the slick roadways. An accident earlier Christmas morning in Oklahoma City involved 21 vehicles.
