Iowa State DE coach Curtis Bray collapses, dies at 43 Published: January 15, 2014

Sad news out of Big 12 country this morning, as multiple sources are reporting that Iowa State defensive ends coach Curtis Bray passed away this morning.

Bray, 43, died while working out Wednesday morning. Bray had close to 20 years of coaching experience, with roots going back to Pittsburgh, where he recruited NFL talents such as Joe Flacco and Larry Fitzgerald. He also played linebacker at Pittsburgh and was the first defensive player to be named Gatorade High School Player of the Year in 1987.

Bray was a husband and a father of two.
