Iron Man 3 ticket giveaway; “Man of Steel” trailer

Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 3 news; The Posthuman Project starts production; Superman is 75 and the “Man of Steel” trailer in the Planet 46 comics show with Kyle Roberts and Matt Price.

TOPIC 1:   Robert Downey Jr. in GQ


Robert Downey Jr. is on the cover of May’s GQ, hitting stands on April 23.   GQ’s Chris Heath went to Downey’s Malibu home to talk about Downey’s career and current successes.  In the interview, Downey essentially confirmed he made around $50 million dollars for “Marvel’s The Avengers.”  Downey’s “Iron Man 3” is set for a May 3 release.

Oklahoma City fans can catch four cinematic appearances of Tony Stark in the Ultimate Iron Man Marathon beginning at 1 p.m. on May 2.

Harkins Bricktown 16 Theaters, 150 E. Reno, will present the marathon, starting with “Iron Man,” followed by “Iron Man 2” and “Marvel’s The Avengers” in 3D.

The marathon will be capped with the 9 p.m. premiere of “Iron Man 3” in 3D. Tickets are $30 and are currently on sale at the box office or

Those attending will also receive a loyalty cup, small popcorn and a commemorative lanyard.

The superhero movie that Kyle Roberts and Matt Price have been working on is now in production!  Kyle is directing “The Posthuman Project,” starring local actors Kyle Whalen, Josh Bonzie, Lindsay Sawyer, Alex Harris, Collin Place and Rett Terrell!

TOPIC 3: Man of Steel and Superman news   

The latest release of the “Man of Steel” trailer has us very excited for the film!  It’s set for a June 14 release.

In the movie, Henry Cavill stars as Clark Kent/Superman. Amy Adams stars as Lois Lane; Kevin Costner plays Clark Kent’s earthly father, Jonathan Kent, while Russell Crowe is Jor-El, Superman’s father on Krypton.

Superman is celebrating 75 years this week; his first appearance in “Action Comics” No. 1 hit stands on April 18, 1938.  This was also the first appearance of Lois Lane.  So, happy 75th to Superman and Lois!
