Troy Aikman left and is in the Hall of fame.

How about transferring to Michigan. New offensive scheme will probably fit Keith's talents and is also close to home.

Yep, it's a good decision for him and his family. A kid has the right to go wherever he feels he would have the best opportunity. The only thing that is unfair is that he will have to sit out a year before he can play again. That would basically mean two years without any significant game action before he even would have a CHANCE to play. I kind of knew he would decide to transfer. The only hope I was holding out is if he decided to stay because Bradford MIGHT leave school for the NFL after this year.

I wish Keith Nichol success wherever he goes. I really thought that he was going to be the OU savior at the quarterback position, but that title went to Sam Bradford. OU fans will be rooting for Keith to do a great job at his next destination.

Kevin, what an a-hole. Is that all you do; wait till an OU story comes up so you can post a negative? What an idiot. Yes, he's making the right decision. I hope Landry Jones is all he's hyped to be. I'd love to see him come in and compete with Bradford. Still not completely sold on the PC North kid, even with the great freshman year. Hope Nichol shows up at Michigan.

If that's what he truly wants to do, then the decision will be right for him.

Absolutely. Run as far as you can! Especially if you can't score a gas discount or car deal.

Oh probably but I still hate to see him go. No one can blame him for wanting playing time but I wish he had discussed this with Nate Hybl first.

Absolutely the right decision. He has not seemed to grasp the OU offense and maybe he can go back home and to Michigan where he seems he would be a better fir for the offense that Rich Rodriquez will implement there. Plus, if for no other reason, we won't have to hear "Kid Nichol" anymore. That was the most retarded nickname the lame brains at the DOK have come up with yet.

Yes, and I hope he comes over to OSU.

No, I don't think its a good decision. Recall just a few years ago, the kid from Cal (I forgot his name already) transerred to Utah and ended up being back-up there. Had he stayed, he might've been starting when Bomar was dismissed. He even said he regretted transferring. You never know what injuries and events will transpire. I wonder if he'll end up at Michigan?
Kevin, Marion, IN - May 9, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Yes, it's a good decision. The OU coaches tend to dig in once they make a decision and so even if he develops he'll not get a shot absent a serious injury to the starter.

Good call for Nichol: with Bradford, Halzle, and Jones on board, he have trouble seeing playing time this year or next (assuming Jones is not a bust and Bradford does not incur a season ending injury). He's too talented to sit on the bench. I hope he ends up at a good program (outside the Big 12). Good luck, Keith.
