Islanders upend Jets 3-1

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — The New York Islanders are making the most of the little offense they are producing on the road.

P.A. Parenteau scored early in the third period, Evgeni Nabokov made 37 saves, and the Islanders beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Parenteau redirected a shot by Milan Jurcina for his 12th goal and 50th point of the season at 1:36 of the third period.
