/> Along with starters Peterson, Marque Fountain, Jeray Chatham and Maurice Cummings up front, the Cowboys brought in Shane Jarka, Tonga Tea, Ugo Chinasa, Derek Burton, Jonathan Lewis and Quencey Patrick in the rotation.

"We've been doing that really the last three weeks,” said OSU defensive coordinator Tim Beckman. "You get some younger kids in there and you keep the older kids fresh. We felt as a coaching staff we might have hindered that a little earlier.

"We felt like, ‘Hey, let's get these kids ready. They're going to be playing for us anyway next year.' ”

Beckman said he liked most that the pressure didn't require much blitzing or gambling.

"We didn't do a bunch to help create it, they did it on their own, and that's what I'm happy about seeing,” Beckman said.

"The front four, we gave them opportunities to come off the ball and beat somebody. And they did.”
