Jail time: County must act on committee ideas
A citizens committee did its part, offering several recommendations for improving operations at the Oklahoma County jail. Now the county, particularly Sheriff John Whetsel , must be willing to follow through on those.
Whetsel said Monday he was uneasy with forming a trust to oversee the jail’s finances, as the report suggested. That sounds like an "I’ll mind my shop, you mind yours” approach. ...
