January Auto Sales: Chrysler

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Chrysler Group LLC said Monday that its January U.S. sales rose 8 percent, led by the all-new Jeep Cherokee small crossover SUV.

BY THE NUMBERS: The Auburn Hills, Mich.-based automaker said it sold 127,183 cars and trucks last month, up from 117,731 a year ago.

TOP SELLERS: Jeep Cherokee sales hit 10,505, topping 10,000 for the third month in a row. Ram pickup sales were up 22 percent to 25,071.

HOT MODELS: Chrysler 200 midsize sedan with sales up 23 percent to 10,912. Jeep Compass small SUV sales were up 31 percent to 4,068.
