Geneo Grissom as Starting TE? Is he catching the ball well or is it just his blocking ability?

Grissom is indeed the starter at tight end as of right now. I think he's doing both well, although with all the receivers Landry Jones has at his disposal, I think blocking will be the most important thing he does. Word is that he's really quick off the ball, and actually has shown that he's better at attacking off the ball than reacting from the DE spot. He hasn't had much of a chance to catch since high school, when he was a second TE in a two-tight set that was mainly for running. So, really, who knows how he'll do as a pass catcher until he actually does it in a game? But Bob Stoops said he's done well in practices.

Any news out of the OU camp as far as progress of players, but especially injuries? Tell me something GOOD!

I understand your frustration. Really the best news that has come out of OU's camp for Sooner fans is how good this freshman class could be, and how early its players could contribute. We know about Trey Metoyer and Sterling Shepard, but guys like Ty Darlington on the offensive line, Michael Onuoha and Charles Tapper at defensive end, Gary Simon at CB and even Alex Ross at running back have all shown flashes of their potential, and that should be exciting. The flip side to that, of course, is that some of them will be relied on because of injuries and suspensions.
