Jason Kersey: Penn State's Justin Brown 'probably' winds up at OU

That remains to be seen. If Dom Whaley is healthy, along with Clay, Finch, Williams and Millard, even, I'm not sure if Ross will see that many touches this season. But I do think he's got the talent to be pretty special at some point in his Sooners career.

Among the newcomers who is your pic to lead in receptions. My money is on Shepard.

That's a good question. Shepard is probably who I'd go with, although I think Lacoltan Bester is going to have a pretty big impact once he gets acclimated to everything. If Justin Brown does come in from Penn State, he'd probably be my pick over Shepard.

TE was very lean in spring. There have been a few moves and new freshman in now for the fall. What are your thoughts on the position?

Brannon Green was the starter in the spring, with freshman Taylor McNamara was the backup. McNamara looked strong in the spring game, so I think those guys are probably still the favorites for playing time. But I think Geneo Grissom has a good chance to earn his way onto the field at TE.

Will Tony Jefferson have the same kind of impact now that he's further from the line of scrimmage?

Jefferson is the defense's best player and I think he'll have an impact just about anywhere they put him (of course, unless they tried him at tackle or something). His impact might be different, but I think the fact that he has a position that is solidly his, and should remain his position without any changes like he's been through the past couple years, will only make him better. It'll give him a chance to really flourish.

Whats the interior of the OL look like if Nila isn't able to go for an extended period

With Ikard's move to center and Adam Shead becoming the likely starter at guard, Bronson Irwin will probably take on a bigger role. True freshman Ty Darlington is another guy who has received rave reviews, but I've been told he's going through some health issues of his own, so who knows when he'll be able to contribute? With Ben Habern out and Nila probably sidelined for a little while, the interior of the offensive line probably would have trouble sustaining any more injuries

Surprised you think Shepard or Justin Brown willhave more receptions than Metoyer. You question that he will be Newcomer of the Year?

You know what? I guess Metoyer has been on all our minds since the spring, and has been an established starter since his big performance in the spring game, so he didn't even come to mind when I was asked about that. That was dumb of me. Of course I think Metoyer will be OU's top WR newcomer! No question about it at all.

Thanks everyone for the questions. Practice started this morning, so we're even closer to the season opener! Talk to you all again soon.
