Adam Wolf is scheduled to return to court Aug. 10 for a preliminary hearing in the sexual assault case. He is accused of raping a teenage girl who has been diagnosed with emotional problems.
The charge indicates the assaults began in December. Wolf befriended the teen and gave her gifts of candy and soda, according to the affidavit. He is accused of raping the student in his custodial office and in classrooms.
Wolf told authorities the victim "just makes me weak" and that he was "unable to resist her."
Adam Wolf, 45, was charged June 4 in Delaware County District Court with 13 counts of sexual abuse including rape, forcible oral sodomy and sexual battery. He remains in jail with his bond set at $580,000.
Susa Hopper, Wolf's attorney, did not return phone calls.
Debbie Wolf tearfully said in a phone interview she wanted nothing printed about her husband's case. "I can't go to the store without people looking at me," said Debbie Wolf, who is employed as a secretary at the school.
Criminal record known
Former superintendent David Schachle said Adam Wolf's criminal record was discussed before Wolf's employment. "The felony conviction was not child... or violence related," he said. "Since it was almost 20 years later and there had been no other problems with the law, we hired him."
Wolf claimed on his job application he had no felony convictions.
