Jaymie Adams case: Autopsy details could be slow in coming, officials say

Spokeswoman Amy Elliott said the autopsy was under way Monday, but it will be “a while” before a cause and manner of death are revealed

Toxicology reports can take three to six months to get back “in a case like this,” she said.

Elliott said 15 bodies were brought into the medical examiner's office over the weekend. She declined to comment on the condition of Jaymie Adams' body or how long investigators think she had been dead.

Oklahoma City police said the body was found in a wooded area near the 7200 block of S Douglas Boulevard. They will say only that it had been there for more than one day.

A police report shows the body was found just after noon Saturday near Lake Stanley Draper by “several dirt bike riders.” The names of those who found the body weren't released.

The report doesn't say on which side of the road the body was found, but satellite images of the area described by police show a dirt bike trail is on the east side of S Douglas Boulevard.

The wooded area west of Douglas abuts Tinker Air Force Base and no riding trails are present in the area.
