Jazz saxophonist to headline festival

Tulsa jazz saxophonist Eldredge Jackson will headline a free outdoor jazz and blues event Saturday on Oklahoma Avenue, north of Sheridan Avenue in Bricktown. It is part of the 21st annual Charlie Christian International Jazz Festival,

Jackson's new album, "Listening Pleasure," was produced by fellow Tulsan and bass guitarist Wayman Tisdale. Jackson is the 2005 Legacy Tribute Award inductee to the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. He has also been nominated for best jazz act by the Tulsa World's Spot entertainment magazine. Besides the saxophone, Jackson also plays piano, keyboards, drums and bass guitar.
