It didn’t take long for Dylan Harding to commit to Oklahoma State.
Five minutes after receiving an offer from the school Wednesday, the Jenks safety made his pledge to the Cowboys, he told The Oklahoman.
Harding, at 6-2 and 180 pounds, had more than 10 scholarship offers, including Arizona State, Illinois, Iowa State, North Carolina, Oregon State, Texas Tech, Washington State and Tulsa. He is rated a two-star prospect by Rivals and a three-star player by Scout and is ranked No. 15 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 recruit rankings for 2014.
Harding is the first safety commitment of the 2014 class, though “athlete” pledges Ramon Richards and Trevion Roberts are both being recruited as defensive backs. OSU also has a commitment from cornerback Juwan Offray.
Harding is the Cowboys’ fourth in-state commitment in a strong 2014 class. All come from the Tulsa area, including Broken Arrow linebacker Gyasi Akem, Broken Arrow running back Devon Thomas and Washington defensive end Jordan Brailford.
