Why would OU play Florida A&M?

Desperation. OU lost a non-conference game against TCU when TCU became a conference opponent, but that didn't happen until recently.

So, when OU got desperate, it went looking just about anywhere for an opponent. Its search ultimately landed in Tallahassee with Florida A&M.

The Rattlers had an opening and was willing to come to OU and gave OU a price for its payout that the Sooners could live with. That's why OU is playing Florida A&M on Saturday.

What is your opinion on about the new Sooner Sports TV?

I don't think much is going to change for folks who want to watch Sooner events. If anything, people should be able to see MORE events. Like non-basketball and non-football games. It sounds to me like Sooner Sports TV is going to be housed primarily on Fox Sports' regional signals. So, it's not like the Longhorn Network, which has its own channel or signal.
