On three possible replacements for Jeff Capel at Oklahoma:
I'll say Buzz Williams, Tad Boyle from Colorado and Terry Evans from UCO. I have no idea if Joe C. would give the job to a lower-division coach, but there's no one who wants the job more than Terry Evans. My feeling is, this isn't going to be a big-name, splash hire. I just don't see that happening. OU's last three hires, after all, have been from VCU (Capel), Washington State (Sampson) and Lamar (Tubbs).
On current Marquette coach Buzz Williams replacing Capel at OU:
Talking to Joe Castiglione yesterday, he sounds like a guy who's not opposed to any possibilities. Now, the question is, is Williams a good fit? He graduated from Oklahoma City University, so he has ties to the area. That's a good thing for OU's chances. My question is this -- is OU a better job than Marquette? Long term, I think it is better, but right now, OU doesn't look anywhere close to as good as Marquette.
