Sodexo, the company that manages cafeterias in Putnam City schools, invites interested job seekers to a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25 at Kenneth Cooper Middle School, 8001 River Bend Blvd.
Sodexo has 27 openings in school kitchens across the Putnam City district.
“This is a family-friendly place to work. The schedule aligns with school schedules. Parents working these jobs can be home when their children come home from school, and if children are out of school, these employees will be too,” said Jeff Edwards, Sodexo’s general manager.
Job fair participants will have a chance to learn about Sodexo and benefits that will be available to them. People should bring with them any information that will help them complete a job application, such as dates of past employment, phone numbers and addresses for past jobs.
People who pass a short online skills assessment will be interviewed for open positions. Successful candidates can be offered jobs a week to 10 days later after background checks have been completed.
“The people we want working with us are people who like children and want to provide excellent customer service,” Edwards said.
