Joe Lieberman to keep post

Published: November 19, 2008

Sen. Joe Lieberman

Taking their cue from President-elect Barack Obama, Democrats in the Senate decided not to take revenge on Joe Lieberman despite lingering anger over the Connecticut independent’s forceful support of John McCain over Obama in the presidential campaign. Lieberman will remain chairman of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

Joe would make a great president, but probably would never get elected. To take him off any post would be a grave mistake - he is excellant at what he does, he grilled people after Katrina. He looks at the issues rather than how a party votes. I imagine there is more to this story than meets the eye - Joe has been around a LONG time.

I think Joe is a great guy he works on both sides of the isle and he seems to have the best interest of the people at heart. I am Republican and I can find no fault with him even when he was a Democrat.

Ol' Joe looks like he's been sucking a lemon! I guess it is a bitter thing to swallow that the president-elect is more a gentleman than Joe is.
