Former Kansas center Joel Embiid went from probable No. 1 draft pick to risky pick after his agent confirmed to Yahoo on Thursday that Embiid has a stress fracture in his right foot.
Embiid's back issues from his one collegiate season at KU were already a red flag, but the latest injury has the Cleveland Cavaliers shying away from taking the 7-footer No. 1 overall in the June 26 draft.
According to his agent, Arn Tellem, Embiid will have surgery on his foot on Friday and will not attend the draft.
