John Rohde: Dallas' J.J. Barea 'just as big' as Dirk Nowitzki in Game 1 win over Thunder

On Dallas guard J.J. Barea's impact on Game 1:

He might be 5-foot-9, but he was just as big as Nowitzki last night in my mind. An equally helpless feeling for the OKC defense.

On the best approach to guarding Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki:

You have to stay physical and hope for an officiating crew that worked the Memphis-OKC series. Scott Brooks said his team guarded Nowitzki "too close." Well, you sure don't want to back off of him.

On whether Thunder guard Russell Westbrook looked tired from the Memphis series:

His shot was off. Westbrook doesn't get tired. Might have been more nervous than tired. Looked like his release point was off on his shot.

On Nick Collison's defense on Dirk Nowitzki:

Ibaka-Collison no doubt is the best combination defensively against Dirk (not in that order), but they have to stay out of foul trouble. Double-down quicker. Make Dirk make a decision.
