With the Dallas Cowboys in crisis, newly-signed backup quarterback Jon Kitna is filling in and giving back.

The 41-year-old is donating his salary to the high school where he teaches math in Washington state. Kitna was signed this week after Cowboys starter Tony Romo went down with a back injury. Kyle Orton is projected to start for the Cowboys this weekend, but they needed a No. 2 option and a scout team QB headed into a win-or-go-home scenario with the Philadelphia Eagles.

So, Jerry Jones and Co. called on Kitna, who will give his $53,000 paycheck to Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash.
