EDMOND — Jonathan O'Neal, an Edmond North High School senior, was the winner of the 2013 Edmond's Got Talent contest held by the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond.
O'Neal sang an original arrangement of the song “Billy Jean” by Michael Jackson.
Second place in the contest went to Olivia Kay, 10, who sang the song “Rolling in the Deep.” The group EPIC Dancers came in third place, dancing to jazz music.
The finalists were chosen by judges Lance McDaniel, executive director of deadCenter Film Festival; Emily Sutton, KFOR-TV meteorologist; and state Sen. Clark Jolley, R-Edmond.
After auditioning more than 45 talented acts, 16 were selected to be in Edmond's Got Talent.
“Edmond's Got Talent is a great opportunity to showcase the talent in our community,” said Summer Stolz, Fine Arts Institute teen board president.
Acts included pianists, violinists, dancers, guitarists and singers.
