STILLWATER — Oklahoma State women's basketball player Jordan Schultz has left the program for personal reasons, coach Jim Littell announced Wednesday.
Schultz, a sophomore reserve guard, had played in all seven of the Cowgirls' games this season, averaging two points in 19 minutes per contest. She started at shooting guard down the stretch for OSU last season and was one of the team's best outside shooting threats.
“I am thankful for the opportunity Coach Littell and Oklahoma State gave me,” Schultz said in a release. “I wish I could give back to the team and the program, but it is a time in my life that I need to be there for my family.”
Without Schultz, the No. 16 Cowgirls (7-0) are down to just nine healthy players on the roster, though freshman guard Brittany Atkins should return from a knee injury soon.
OSU next plays Vermont at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
