Josh Shipp is launching TV show to help people realize their dreams

In his book, “The Teen's Guide to World Domination,” on his website, www.joshshipp.com, in public appearances and on television, Josh Shipp strives to deliver what he considers critical messages for teenagers at a key time of development in their lives. Describing himself as an ambassador for teens, Shipp offers these thoughts:

“Rule No. 1 is that you can't actually dominate the world, so just get over it. But the truth is you can dominate your own world.

“Challenging things are going to happen to you, but you're going to choose how you respond.

“Difficult people are going to be in your life whether you're 13 or whether you're 63, but you choose how you respond to them. So, ultimately it is about how to control your own world because that is the only thing you have control of.”

On the biggest problems today's teens face:

“The teenagers of 2011, they have the stresses of a 30-year-old, but they have the experience of a 15-year-old. So they genuinely feel stressed out, pressure, pulled in many different directions. But they just don't have the experience that (an adult) does in dealing with this.”
