JUCO baseball: Almonte puts past behind him
ENID — Plenty of talented junior college baseball players are in Enid for the JUCO Division II World Series, but none has the history of Western Oklahoma Junior College’s Danny Almonte .
Almonte has carved out a nice career at the small community college in Altus since arriving in 2007. This season, he’s batting .485 with 17 home runs and 75 RBIs. On the mound, he’s a perfect 8-0.
