NORMAN — Little River Zoo will host the first session of its Summer Junior Zookeeper Camp Monday through Friday. The camp will meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The camp is open to children age 5 to 14. Participants will assist zookeepers in a natural, hands-on environment, hike the trails of the zoo’s woodlands and discover facts about more than 400 animals residing at the zoo.

In addition to learning about the animals, children can develop social skills by learning to appreciate nature and fellow beings. Campers will end the week with a family celebration.

Information
Cost of the camp is $99. Little River Zoo is south of State Highway 9 on 120th Ave SE. For more information call 366-7229 or go to littleriverzoo.com.
