Jury gives Dallas Cowboys lineman probation for causing DWI crash that killed teammate

A jury sentenced Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent to probation Friday for causing the December 2012 crash that killed his teammate and best friend Jerry Brown Jr.



In addition to a 10-year suspended sentence, Brent also faces 180 days in jail and was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine. He could have been sentenced up to 20 years in prison.
